Guided Walk: "Meet the Morton Arboretum"
Take a stroll through the arboretum grounds with
docent Cindy Crosby. In this 50 minute walk, we'll talk about people, plants,
and architecture, and a few of the things that make the arboretum special.
We'll take a quick look at the groundcover garden, the hedge garden, the
conifers, the maze, and the children's garden. Plus you'll learn the secret of
decoding the arboretum's tree tags! Meet in the visitor center breezeway.
Easy hiking with some uneven ground. Dress for the weather -- we'll walk, rain or shine.

In Search of The Prairie Spirit
Enjoy a winter afternoon kindling the prairie spirit. An indoor session of thoughtful readings from prairie literature will be followed by a walk through the Schulenberg Prairie where we will focus on plants in their winter condition, animal signs, and the effects of winter on the prairie landscape.
